Izuku Midoriya wasn’t sure how he always ended up in situations like this.
Well, maybe not exactly like this, but thirteen-year-old Izuku has had enough trying experiences to at least not be surprised by them anymore. After all, trouble seemed to follow him like the plague, which was made infinitely worse by his time spent at Aldera Junior High.
However, for someone like him—a useless, quirkless deku—he had no right to complain. He knew that others had it far worse than he did. He was fine, really. It was just something you learned to live with.
It was normal.

Summary
Fresh out of juvenile detention for various drug offenses, Izuku has only one thing on his mind: revenge. Part of his conditional release, however, includes 100 hours of community service with a side order of mandatory NA meetings, and there’s a relentless kid in his new group home who won’t leave him alone. Worst of all, apparently the underground fight club his detention facility operated has garnered him a bit of a reputation in the outside world, and he’s starting to think that if his memory wasn’t shit, he would actually know the reason he was released.
Or, Izuku attempts to murder Dabi, mops some floors at the number one school in Japan, and aims to avoid those pesky heroes by any means necessary (Kind of; he’s also a proper Holden Caulfield at the end of the day, so don’t take his word for it)

The moment Izuku lets himself tip forwards over the edge of the building, the sharp wind rushing his face and curls catching in the force of falling, he knows he’d make a grave mistake.
I don’t want to die...
But he’s already made his decision; you can't come back from this. He stares wide-eyed as the ground gets closer and closer as the seconds tick on, eyes squeezing shut as he waits for impact. He awaits the consequences of his own stupid actions and then—
I don’t want to die.
—and then he opens his eyes and he’s stood peering over the edge of the building he’d just fallen from. Beside him, his shoes are tucked neatly on the ledge, backpack leaned on the ground beside them just as he’d left them. Izuku blinks owlishly, leaning forwards to stare ten stories down. Ten stories down where he’d just been a moment prior, only seconds away from hitting the ground.
He’s... back?
And that’s the first time Midoriya Izuku realizes that he does, in fact, have a Quirk.
