Summary
Soda was talking about him and Darry, Ponyboy’s brothers. Their bond was so deep; how could it not? They were family and family always stays together. Ponyboy loved his brothers; how could he not? He loved them so much in a way words could never describe. But Pony didn’t mean familial love. No, he meant love in a way that went beyond the confines of family or even friends.
He’d been thinking this way for a while now. Trying to find the name of it has been a plaque on his thoughts. But they all circled back to one boy, Johnny. Johnny Cade. The friend he can’t remember a day without him being around. Johnny had been the boy that to Ponyboy, he was more than a friend, but the word to describe it was lost on him. Ponyboy always knew the way he felt about Johnny was different. The times of silence never went on for too long, and they were comfortable. And he only found that comfort in his brothers. Never in anyone else, ever. Johnny had a way that made Ponyboy feel like he was on top of the world.

The purple walls stalls felt like it was crushing Hajime. The toilet felt so far, yet so close. He leaned over the toilet and put a finger down his throat. He gagged, tears forming in his eyes. He put a finger down his throat again. A little bit of broth came out. He put his finger down his throat one final time and vomit spewed out.
Bits of carrots and spinach are seen floating around the brown liquid. He stopped vomiting, he was exhausted, and out of breath. He looked over the toilet again, and started vomiting again, without the need of gagging.

He didn't really know when it had all started, really. It was just - the way he looked at food wasn't normal.
Normal people didn't feel sick every time a plate was set in front of them. They didn't push around their food, always, to make it look like they had eaten. They didn't keep a diary of how many calories they'd consumed per day, on top of nutritionists and dieticians. They didn't exercise to the point of exhaustion if they were even a few calories off their 'limit.'
In that respect, he knew he wasn't normal. Something was wrong.

Summary
Haymitch has a plan.
When Haymitch Abernathy is forced to enter the 50th annual Hunger Games, this year a Quarterquell with twice as many tributes, Haymitch knows his odds are next to nonexistent.
However, he is determined to make a difference. And when Ampert explains to him how they’re are planning on blowing up the arena, Haymitch immediately tag along on the idea.
For this plan to succeed he needs to focus on getting away from the bloodbath and head north. Not staying behind for anyone, not even his fellow district tributes who he had learned to care for, more than he’d like to admit.
Unfortunately, Haymitch heart isn’t as cold as he wish it was, and him and Wyatt end up teaming up after Haymitch saved his life, they wander the arena together, trying to do everything they can to survive.
Problem number one: Wyatt doesn’t know about Haymitch plan to destroy the arena, and he has no way of telling him without the Capitol listening.

Panache stands over them, sword brandished, poised to strike.
Haymitch wants to run away at the bloodbath. He wants to focus on the job he has to do, but he can’t. He can’t just ignore the cries of his teammates.
When he saves the life of Wyatt Callow, and somehow ends up as his sole ally, it gets a whole lot harder to carry out his plan. It just so happens that Wyatt is a rather useful ally to have, and as the Games progress, Haymitch realises he cares for him more than anyone would have thought.
