“Is that a good idea? When was the last time you slept more than six hours, Viktor? Or washed that cravat?” Jayce said, raising an eyebrow at him. The cravat still held stains on the tips from a failed experiment weeks ago.
“I fail to see why that’s important, you can’t even see it while I’m wearing it,” Viktor scoffed. Jayce walked over and inspected the cravat, the stains might come out with some elbow grease. Viktor was always so busy, he could do this for him, take something off his plate. He wanted to help.
“Let me wash it for you?” he blurted out.
Viktor stopped scratching at the chalk board. Jayce couldn’t be sure if he was mulling over the request, or his own work.
“If that will make you happy, Talis,” Viktor said.

Summary

Summary
Steven swallowed, looking out across the ocean. The sun had almost disappeared, the red sky growing purple. They thought he was happy, that he was thriving. He couldn’t be the one to pull them out of that fantasy, not when they were finally able to grow on their own. Steven forced his lips into a smile, and it felt so easy. Everyone had enough to worry about, he didn’t need to add to the list of things. No-one else should have to have to fix him.

Everyone is finally happy, growing and thriving. The Crystal Gems loved helping run Little Homeschool, and loved teaching new gems everything about Earth, and how embrace change. But Steven... Steven was struggling. Glowing pink, unstable, and unwilling to let anyone else worry about him, his spiral downwards can only get worse.
