Summary
Nestled somewhere quiet in the Sierra Madre Line is a former penal colony named Grace, proudly in operation since the 4600s. When the Third Committee took power and abolished the operation of such colonies, Grace's administration did not calmly and quickly submit the required paperwork to begin dissolution. Instead, they decided they would do nothing. Forever.
When Union rediscovers the world in 5016u and makes contact with the administration, the situation rapidly deteriorates into armed conflict. As the centuries-old system is torn down before the eyes of the people crushed beneath its weight, two women with a complicated relationship make a snap decision that changes their lives.
This is a story about repressed feelings, soul-searching, suppressed trauma, and recovery in the face of cultural shock and emotional growth. It's about queerness, belonging, burning passion, delicious friction, and inexperienced but very eager women trying to figure out what the hell they want. It's about unsupervised lesbians in mechs doing very irresponsible things.
