Summary
An unexpected seat change brings Sidney and Charlotte together on a flight, and find they are irresistibly drawn to one another, though something rather significant seems to stand in their way. Modern alt setting, slow burn, with some angst. A little inspired by Normal People, a little inspired by Richard Linklater's Before Sunrise/Sunset/Midnight series, and a little inspired by When Harry Met Sally. There will be a HEA for sure.

Sidney has limited time to find her, but will that mean certain financial ruin for the Parkers and Sanditon, as the vengeful Eliza tries to control Sidney? Is there anything that can save Sanditon from Tom Parker's massive debt? Will anything ever placate Eliza?? Things apparently CAN get worse before they get better! The parallels of the high stakes glamorous and dangerous world of modern racing in F1, and the high stakes and risky development of a seaside town in the 1800s, were too close to not tie them together. Also inspired by the TV series, Sanditon, that was extended from the work of Jane Austen by Andrew Davies.

Summary
Sanditon modern AU.
Charlotte Heywood grew up in a small village and worked at a local hotel after graduating from university, and she hasn't seen very much of the world. For as long as she can remember, she's been a fan of Jane Austen, often escaping into her works and adaptations, as well as running a blog for fellow Jane Austen fans.
Charlotte is forced out of her comfort zone when the hotel she's worked at for one year closes down, and she's offered a job working at a family-run architecture company in London.
All of Charlotte's new work colleagues seem nice, with the exception of the company owner, Sidney Parker, who is distant and off-hand with Charlotte right from their first meeting. And yet, there's something about Sidney Parker that intrigues Charlotte, in the same way that he seems to be drawn to her...

This story starts the morning after the fire. A lot of things have not happened yet and maybe they never will. Georgiana has not been kidnapped. Charlotte has not yet met Lady Susan. Sidney has not encountered his old love.
Babington is engaged to Esther, though.
Some of the familiar events will happen but not in the same order or way as in the original storyline. In other words, the timeline will be horribly incorrect.
Most importantly, Sidney and Charlotte are definitely not in love.
