"Pi-o confessed? Is he with you now?" Jeong-yo asks in a pushed bitter tone to hide his lingering worry.
"Pi-o? No? It was all Ji-hye."
His mind races, jumping through the loops that were truth. It makes no sense.
Jeong-yo swallows.
He thinks to his conversation with Jae-in on how she'd watched Pi-o drive himself sick searching for him for five of the years he was missing.
Pi-o's pause before his confession, as if it didn't belong to him.
His willingness to be reckoned like he thought himself deserving of Jeong-yo's suffering.
The line goes dead and his feet are moving just as fast as they had in the forest.
He was running for his life then and now he's running for Pi-o's.
