Summary
Christmas in Yokohama has a way of dredging things up.
As the Port Mafia and the Agency prepare for their respective holiday parties, Chuuya Nakahara and Dazai Osamu find themselves circling the same old memories—tree tops they were asked to reach, games that went too far, laughter that never quite included everyone it should have.
For Chuuya, it’s the weight of camaraderie found and lost. For Dazai, it’s the sharp edge of watching from the outside.
Between antlers, scarves, frozen rooftops, and nights spent drinking in silence, the past and present blur together. Some memories are warm. Some still sting. And some are easier to face from the cold, just beyond the glow of the party lights.
After all—some things are remembered best at the edges.

"Hm?" The other boy looked Chuuya up and down for a moment, the smile on his lips teasing. "Oh? Trying to get to know me?"
Chuuya glared back. "Don't be a jackass, it's called manners."
"We're both going to die soon anyway, what's the point in manners?" Chuuya flinched at the cold tone of his voice, but that just caused the other's smile to grow. "Scared of death, huh?"
"Who isn't?"
The other boy shrugged. "I've been chasing it for a long time."
Waking up in a serial killer's basement wasn't what Chuuya had meant to experience when he ran across the country. But now he's trapped there with the most insufferable guy he's ever met. How are they meant to get out of this? And what are they going to do when they escape?

Summary
Since becoming the Slayer at age 15, Chuuya has been through a lot of shit. Now, though, he’s settled down as much as someone like him can—he’s got friends, a cat, and a job at Fukuzawa’s bookstore.
But this relative peace could never last.
A group of wealthy vampires have come searching for a special book, threatening everything Chuuya cares for. In order to protect his found family and home, he’s going to have to go against his very nature to team up with a vampire named Dazai.
“Nice try, creep,” Chuuya pants out. “But you’re gonna have to do better than that. I’ve been slayin’ far longer than you’ve been sticking your sorry little fangs in people’s necks.”
Surprise briefly flickers on the vampire’s face before it dissolves back into nonchalance.
“How do you figure that?”
Chuuya scoffs. It’s just… obvious. His clothing, his speech patterns, even his smell. It isn’t musty enough yet. “I’ve killed vampires hundreds of years older than you. You’ve got newborn written all over you.”
“Chuu-ya,” the vampire whines again. “That isn’t a very nice thing to say.”
A chill runs down Chuuya’s spine. He definitely hasn’t introduced himself.

Summary
kunikida drags katai out to the arcade, because god knows that the man needs to go interact with the real world (and what better way to do that than sit right back in front of bright screens?)
and to repay this gracious date, katai decides that he'll win kunikida a teddy bear.
what's wrong is that kunikida already thinks he's a cheater, and there's no way he'll be able to get that dumbass doppelgänger out of the claw machine without it. his deepest apologies to kunikida's morals.

Summary
Chuuya crawls to the sliding tube tunnel and motions for Dazai to follow him. Dazai gulps, looking at the slide again, his head starting to shake ‘no’ but stops when Chuuya sits first and then tells Dazai to sit behind him with a pat on the plastic. “Come on, you can hug me if you want. We can pretend to ride a motorcycle.”
“A motorcycle?”
“Yeah, look. I’ll show you!”
So, he does. Dazai’s curiosity outweighed his nervousness, and soon, he found himself sitting behind Chuuya and wrapping his little arms around his tummy. He wanted to use his hands to hold Claude, but he feared letting go of Chuuya, so he again put Claude in his lap, sandwiched between them.
“Hold tight! Let’s start ‘er up!” Chuuya smirked back at Dazai and pretended to ignite his motorcycle, revving the engine with his little fists. The wind tunnels up the tube again, and Dazai feels like he’s riding a bike. He giggles this time, and Chuuya then asks, “You ready?”
Dazai beams back and says, “Yep!” Chuuya grins and pushes forward, then they both go down the slide with big grins and cheers.

The other man looked like a mirror image, the sun behind him stretching through tall windows and expanding the space into a portrait of a palace ballroom. His expression was set, as resolute as Oda’s conviction.
It was strange. He’d seen his death play out so frequently that avoiding it had become second nature. He’d once read that every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and so he likened his ability to two similar poles rejecting the other — the face of death would always be met and matched by the instinct to live. Oda knew it by heart, had rehearsed it like a dance, the irony being that he’d come to reverse that pattern… here. In this heavenly ballroom.

Dazai has never allowed himself to get his ass handed to him this badly. In fact, he would almost seem unnaturally put-together after each mission— with minimal injuries, no dirt, little sweat since he doesn’t exert any physical effort unless his suicidal fantasies depended on it.
Which made sense: He hated pain, thus avoided any relation to it.
At least Chuuya thought so.
Now he is faced with the ever-baffling dilemma of Dazai seeking pain. And beyond that, seeking it to protect Chuuya from it.
Did he land in the wrong universe?
OR: Dazai has a tendency to get captured as part of the plan, and this time, when he decides to rope Chuuya into it, things go a little off-kilter.

While getting severely injured in one of Yokohama's backalleys wasn't on Doppo Kunikida's agenda, it certainly is something that happens; he isn't expecting a savior when he's unable to move himself.
Doppo's savior comes in the form of a strange mafioso named Chuuya, who takes Doppo to his apartment to patch him up. A chance meeting that, perhaps, the universe will not forget.
_Or, Doppo gets stabbed. Chuuya comes to his rescue.
