“You’re Buck’s Babbles, right? That’s your podcast?” Eddie asks. Buck uncrosses his arms as his eyes widen and he steps closer to Eddie. He looks a little stunned.
“Uh - y-yeah. It is. How - how do you know that? I don’t have any of my social media linked to it,” Buck stutters, stepping closer again. Eddie is peripherally aware of the others staring at them but he can’t break himself out of the bubble they’ve found themselves in. The reason Eddie is standing where he is right now is standing right in front of him. Buck is standing right in front of him.or

Summary
Christopher’s school project—interviewing friends and family about a significant event—seems innocent enough. But when he chooses the moment his dad met Buck as his topic, it becomes clear: this isn’t just homework, it’s the perfect opportunity for matchmaking.
And if he pulled it off? Well, that would be the most significant event of all.

Summary
"I'm seeing someone." He says. Short. Clipped. And this was decidedly not the conversation he thought he and Eddie would be having today. And yet here Buck is, in Eddie’s kitchen, about to have a breakdown.
“Y-you’re what?” He asks, hoping beyond all hope he heard that wrong.
“I’ve started seeing someone.” Eddie says again, more confidently than before and yeah, that’s what Buck thought he’d said, and he can feel his lungs seize up in his chest, his heart come to a forceful and abrupt stop. He forces himself to breathe, pushes everything those few words are making him feel into the triple locked box with a big do not open on and stutters out a response, keen to not keep Eddie waiting. He’s his best friend. He has to be supportive.
"I- wow, okay. That's good, Eddie. Surprising but good. I'm really happy for you."
Or - Eddie starts seeing a therapist a month after moving to Texas. Buck thinks he’s started dating a guy for the first time.
It goes about as well as you think.
