Summary
Grian is a deadbeat, sleep deprived, unlucky, depressed, idiotic, and lonely, English teacher. He is probably the most unreliable narrator you'll meet, and he is also definitely likes women.
He lives in a city overrun by Supervillains and a government full of corrupt Heroes. And just hates his life for it.
Scar is also there I guess. But this is from Grian's perspective, and I think you should know by now that Scar is an unfortunate afterthought to this poor thing.

"Scar?" Grian repeated, more shifting, like he was sitting up. Tired but gentle confusion in his voice. "Are you okay?"
Scar should've hung up. It was bad enough he'd actually called. He should've lied, should've said it was a misdial and pretended to be okay. He should've done a hundred things and he did the one thing he shouldn't, because despite everything that happened between them, Scar felt safest with the one who hurt him. He said, a trembling whisper, "No."

“How can I help you?” Scar said brightly. Dark eyes briefly flicked over to the menu on the wall above his head, but a second later his focus was directed straight back to Scar. A practised order, then.
“Small, black Americano, please. Takeout.” His voice was quiet, the British accent not yet diluted from living in the States. Only recently came over, from the UK he presumed. Soft it may have been, but Scar could hear it clear as day over the busy conversations all around them. Practised in projection. Perhaps in the drama industry? No, maybe a teacher giving lectures…
“And what’s your name?” he smiled softly at the newcomer, whose eyes had widened in response to the question. The man paused for a moment before replying, so he wasn't asked this question a lot.
“Grian.”

Summary
The 12-count serial kidnappings. A ruthless case where important people were targeted one by one. What they wouldn’t tell you is how those people were criminals who escaped from the law with power. But, Grian knew. The “Murderess” was his hero.
Unfortunately, the case had gone cold. So when they suddenly reemerged by showing an unnervingly gory spectacle, only Grian knew that it wasn’t really the original Murderess. And it wasn’t because he was lead of forensics.
His plans are overturned when a certain prodigy who almost solved the last case returns.
He succeeded, in a way. The Murderess returned to his call, drawn by the blood on his hands. Now for the second step… actually talk to them.

Scott woke up in a cold hospital room, remembering the past 6 years spent after Martyn’s betrayal. He remembers the murderess that he almost caught. What he doesn’t remember is the 2 years of the resurgence of said murderess that apparently almost killed him, nor the (fairly attractive) brunette staring worriedly at him. Amnesia, the doctors said. Sometimes temporary, but this doesn’t seem to be the case for him.
