Summary
This hadn’t been in the parenting books. Hermione would know—she’d read them all. At least, all of the good ones (good meaning “including peer-reviewed research” and “not just a television show host”). She’d found that even the scientific literature had grown increasingly…unhelpful as her children got older. And not once had she been warned about this.
(Or, no one tells you, when you become a parent, that seeing your child get all the things you needed at that age and being happy is also triggering)
Debridement (noun): the usually surgical removal of lacerated, devitalized, or contaminated tissue (Webster’s)

Summary
Draco Malfoy should have been a bit more cautious about striking a bargain with the strange little creature that showed up on his doorstep one dark Winter Solstice. Not every sentient being operates by human morals--but when she is the means for reuniting him with the love he lost, who is he to say the ends do not justify the means?
(or, what happens when your house-elf (?) likes your ex-girlfriend more than she likes you and is determined to get the two of you back together, even if it means kinda sorta poisoning you)

Summary
It was days later, and I still caught him glancing at me from the corners of his eyes, as if to make sure that I was still there, and still his Bella. It must have worried him that I had become quieter since our separation. Questions didn't fall from my mouth as they once did: a new hesitancy had entered my demeanor, and try as I might, I sometimes caught myself guarding against a second departure, even if I knew it would never come. But tonight, standing there in the dusky twilight of my backyard, it was easy to make believe that everything had always been this way. So quiet, so still. A perfectly calm night, with stars gleaming brightly in the midnight blue sky, fiercely defying the clouds that were beginning to roll on, blotting them out. And I was whole again, though the ghost of the chasm that had resided in my chest for so long still came back to haunt me in the depths of the night.
