Dark Enchantress Cookie is dead, and the Dark Flour War is over. The Beasts lost half of their Soul Jams, and the Ancients are about to go home, when suddenly, Pure Vanilla Cookie makes the most idiotic suggestion in the history of Earthbread: What if all the Beasts and Ancients lived in a mansion together, and they tried to rehabilitate the Beasts? He is met with hesitation from both parties, but over time, perhaps, this plan *might* work!!

Redemption House is an ongoing, collaborative project that features short, semi-linear crack, fluff, and normal stories starring the Beasts and the Ancients as they try to navigate daily life while living with each other. Ik the title makes no sense. but uhh so basically this is my first fan fic, or actual story, I've ever written, and it was made for this little assignment in my comp sci class that was supposed to be a simple unfortunately, fortunately format story, that would be like 5 or 6 lines long in html... i decided to write shadowvanilla fan fiction. I'm failing that class cause this was supposed to be done a week ago.
End of beast yeast 8 just happened, pure vanilla finds shadow milk after they both get lost in the forest post-shadow milk running away.
thats basically it. idk

For the second time that night, Shadow Milk's frustration boiled over, sending his phone on a trajectory across the room. The sharp clang of the impact was immediately followed by the ragged, choked sounds of his sobs.
If he thought it was beyond fixing earlier, a fleeting thought that had crossed his mind in a moment of controlled anger, the reality now was far, far worse.
Just like him. He was beyond fixing.

Summary
Shadow Milk Cookie lunges, fury incarnate, but Pure Vanilla is ready. He doesn’t raise his staff. Doesn’t cast. Doesn’t defend.
He simply steps forward. And wraps his arms around him. Not in battle.
In embrace.
Shadow Milk freezes. His forehead presses to Pure Vanilla’s collarbone. Not gently. Not willingly. But needfully.
“Don’t say you forgive me,” he says, voice ruined. “Don’t you dare.”
“I’m not,” Pure Vanilla replies. “Not until you're ready to hear it.”
The candles crackle. The walls hum. But in the center of the room, something quiet unfolds.
Not peace. Not yet.
But the possibility of it.
And Shadow Milk Cookie—terrible and lonely and terribly alive—lets himself be held. Just for a moment. Just until the trembling stops.
How cruel, then, how unthinkably cruel, that this moment must end.
Because in three months’ time, he will be nothing.
In three months’ time, his name will be only used in past tense.
And Pure Vanilla Cookie will stand alone beneath the candied stars, cradling a broken body.
Just to do it all over again.

Inspired by the song Monitoring by DECO*27!
Shadow Milk had been lonely for a while, and so had Pure Vanilla. But when guy meets guy, things start to get… messy.
Vanilla smiled gently in an attempt to ease the tension. “You don’t have to pretend to be perfect. I’m not sure where you got the idea that you should be, but it’s unrealistic. Please,” he said, resting a hand on the newcomer’s. “All I want is for you to be yourself. In this shop all are welcome! And besides,” he chuckled, “it’s only me and you right now. It’s not like we’re performing for a crowd.”
He was met with a blank stare. His hand still rested on the other’s. The visitor could feel Pure Vanilla’s warmth seeping into his cold skin. He felt the pressing need to pull away, to free himself from this scary feeling, this unfamiliar sense of comfort, to leave the shop right this moment and run far, far away, to keep himself isolated and safe, safe from the dangers of this unnaturally kind stranger. But somehow, he couldn’t bring himself to.
“…Shadow Milk.” He blinked. The other had been silent for so long that Vanilla had begun to think he was mute. Noting his obvious confusion, the man backtracked. “Shadow Milk. My name is Shadow Milk.”
