And there he was. Just as in your face and over the top as ever.
Only he looked… different. He looked like fucking Bon Jovi. Jeans so ripped they may as well just be shorts and a crop top and hair pulled back into a bun with loose bits falling around his face. In some weird way, the jeans almost seemed more revealing than shorts. They weren’t, of course, Steve couldn’t see the backs of Eddie’s legs or his left knee or either calf, but there was so much open ripping around his thighs that almost seemed more… teasing.
“Holy shit, I can see your whole face.” Steve mumbled out, lips parted in genuine surprise, instantly reaching out to try to touch the bun at the crown of his head.
Eddie batted him away.

Steve agrees to help Eddie paint his trailer, but isn't prepared for the bisexual crisis it sends him spiralling into.

Steve Harrington is out in California visiting an uncle on his mother's behalf and it is boring. And he's being sad. And Robin's tired of it. So, when his cousin says he's going to be playing in a Battle of the Bands in town, he tags along, only to catch sight of one Eddie Munson and his band. And it's heart eyes at first insult. But, of course there's bad blood between Steve's cousin and Eddie and they leave on not great terms.
Only for the world to rip open and for people to start changing into these crazy monsters with teeth.
Now Steve's just trying to get home. Along the way, he picks up souvenirs from the creature's he's defeated, a couple of scars, and, oh yeah. One Eddie Munson, who's really hoping to find his uncle in all this mess. It's a small world after all....

worth noting that the marigold here is not exactly the same as the marigold within the aforementioned big old terrifying fic. my bonus mom has described her as “early access marigold” which i think sums it up great.

Rolan doesn't know anything about paladin oaths, but what he does know is that the paladin who arrives in the grove is fundamentally good, and it infuriates him. She has no right to get in anyone's business, no right to make him feel inferior for just wanting to keep himself and his siblings safe. Who cares if she's as beautiful, strong and humble as she is righteous? Who cares if he makes a complete ass of himself every time he talks to her? Who cares if her companions don't like him? Who cares if she pushes him to be a better man?
And even if he did care, or think she was beautiful, or dream about her when he closed his eyes, what would someone so fundamentally good want with him anyway?

The implication struck him and he only barely managed to keep himself from falling on her, ready to devour her whole.
“You… You don’t know what you’re offering.” Each word was a struggle to get out and his hand became a claw where it was pressed against his chest.
“I know what I’m offering,” she insisted.
“No, you don’t.” He grimaced as another wave hit him, his very bones aching.
“I could devour you,” he warned, pleaded. If she reconsidered, took back her offering, took the choice from him, he wouldn’t have to worry. He couldn’t outright refuse, not with her there, so close, that crackling magic of hers and the heat of her body a waved carrot in front of a hungry maw. The words wouldn’t come. He was only so strong.
She met his gaze, steady, direct. “So devour me.”
