He didn’t know what to do anymore. No one believed that he wasn’t straight. Yes he was bisexual and proud of it, but the only person who seemed to believe him was Robin. It got to the point the two of them were having fun with it, seeing how much he could say and no one would realize. It was like the ‘you suck’ board all over again.

Models are beautiful people, that’s the goddamn gig. Makeup, no makeup. Photoshop, no photoshop. They just look better than the general population and society accepts that as a fact.
But Eddie is a grubby little voice actor that burrows himself up in his boxy apartment for days. Very little sunlight, very little human interaction, and a shit ton of takeout.
Long story short, he doesn’t get out much. So this? Seeing a biblically hot heartthrob in the flesh? With his own two eyes? It’s knocking him into deep space. Sending him into an astral projection without sticking a tablet on his tongue first.

Chalk it up to Eddie’s reputation - his freakiness, his propensity for repeating senior year, his nerdy dragon club. Not really things that most girls are looking for. But now, here, there’s no reputation, no preconceived notions. He’s just Eddie. Eddie with the thousand-watt smile, Eddie with the long brown hair and the biggest, darkest eyes. Eddie who talks not only with his hands but with his whole body, who imbues so much energy into whatever space he occupies. It makes total sense, here and now, that he’s getting so much attention. He’s magnetic, and even Steve is having trouble looking away.

Summary
Kissing has never done all that much for Steve, if he’s honest.
It's just not really something he's ever given much thought to before - the way someone kisses - despite the fact that he's locked lips with plenty of people. For him, kissing has always been something nice, but not particularly special. It's never been earth-shattering. Never taken his breath away, the way people talk about in movies and books. It's just a way to be closer to someone, and it's nice, but it's never anything more than that.
Then, Steve kisses Eddie for the first time, and suddenly he gets it.

“We are gonna fix this, Steve.” Eddie promises.
“Fix what? Me? The unlovable child of two loveless people.”
“That’s bullshit.” Eddie spats out, and it startles Steve enough that he turns to look back at Eddie. “Not about your parents, I’m pretty sure they must be the biggest assholes on the planet, but Steve – you have to know – how can you not know?”
“Know what?” Steve asks, confused. It makes Eddie smile bittersweetly back at him.
“How much every living being in this house loves you.” Eddie makes sure to look Steve straight in the eyes as he says it, makes sure Steve knows he really means it. “If love was the answer, you would have been out of here a long time ago – this place is filled with it.” And Eddie truly believes it, he does.As far as anyone can remember, the woods on the west part of Hawkins are off limits. Too many stories of kids disappearing; even if when asked no one could remember exactly who those kids were.
Then one day Chrissy Cunningham goes missing and Carver is all too quick to try and blame Eddie for it. So into the woods Eddie goes and finds not only Chrissy there.
He finds the old forgotten Harrington house.

To Eddie, it’s weird, almost wrong, that he can do all this now—can run and jump into the water, cannonballing right in the middle of everyone to cause maximum water damage, can dive deep until he pops up in front of Steve to spray water in his face—when just last summer, he couldn’t even get up to the bathroom without help. Months on months of bed rest, nearly a year of physical therapy, what felt like endless nights of sobbing into his pillow from the pain. It doesn’t feel real. It doesn’t feel like he earned it.

Summary
Steve gets stuck in his head about it: the fucking gravestone they’re putting up. He hates the idea of it being installed over nothing, just plopped on grass and dirt and just, just…nothing.
Almost like they’re saying Eddie was somehow nothing, and when the overall notion hits on that thought specifically, Steve has the simultaneous urge to break a window and vomit, and it’s just, it’s not—
He needs to find a way to curb that feeling.
He hates it enough to mention it to the others, who don’t get it. At all. Maybe because it’s Steve, and they don’t think he knew Eddie enough to be this…this. If Steve was in a clearer frame of mind, maybe he’d be able to wonder, too.
But he’s not. In a clearer frame of mind. He can’t process all that much beyond the all-consuming need to not bury nothing under Eddie Munson’s name.
Which doesn't even touch yet on the way it also sticks in his head that, if they were going to name half of the Upside Down bullshit after the nerd game, if the parallels were gonna be just, accepted as a rule?
Then why shouldn't the existence of a spell in the nerd game called 'RAISE DEAD' be accepted, too?

An unsure hand grasps his and Eddie steps over the threshold, eyes closed at first as he takes his place next to Steve. A boat glides down the Chicago River beneath pink and purple skies— an abstract impressionist painting stretching for miles in every direction.
Steve squeezes Eddie’s hand, a gentle pulse, and he opens his eyes. A sharp inhale of breath, and Steve’s hand becomes an anchor that Eddie seems to latch onto. He laces his fingers through Eddie’s for a better grip and runs his thumb up and down the edge of Eddie’s hand, slow and rhythmic.
“See?” Steve hedges, nodding out at the view. “Not so bad, huh?”
Eddie nods and turns his head, an unreadable something behind his expression. “Yeah, it’s not bad at all.”
Or, When Robin ends up stuck with summer classes her first year at college, Steve's road trip plans look dead in the water. Enter Eddie Munson, who loves a good road trip.

Summary
Steve makes the mistake of opening his eyes and accidentally glancing at the screen just as some awful monster jumps at them, almost giving Steve a heart attack. His hand leaves his lap to grab Robin’s hand, needing physical comfort.
It takes him a few seconds to realize that, while the hand he just wrapped his fingers around is thin and bony like Robin’s, it’s also bigger and uncharacteristically cold. Steve glances down at it with a frown and realizes that the reason why it’s so cold is the multiple rings adorning the fingers— fingers that don’t belong to Robin.
Because Steve reached out with the wrong hand and grabbed Eddie’s instead.

Summary
The Corroded Coffin members made a name for themselves investigating the paranormal, they have a fairly successful show that brings in some extra cash. Eddie's not sure if he really believes any of it, it's been eight years and he's only managed to record a few pieces of evidence he can't explain.
He's not expecting much from the investigation of the Harrington house, even laughing at how serious the man sounds about their safety. Steve Harrington himself and his stupid beautiful face is a big draw, he's not going to lie, but the stories he's telling about the haunting he's experiencing sound far-fetched even for them; particles of darkness, doors that lead nowhere, voices from rooms that are empty and visions of other places filled with black vines.
He'd assume the whole thing to be a hoax, if Harrington wasn't offering them a sizable amount of money to spend the night, and there's more on the table if they can rid him of his haunting for good.
