Summary
Whoever the hell Catra’s soulmate was, they seemed to get banged up a lot. She was always waking up with random marks. For the first few years, it was the normal dings that a kid gets. In her teens, the bruises got bigger, like they were into karate or football or some other kind of contact sport. Over the last couple of years though, Catra had started to receive marks in the middle of the night. At first, she thought her soulmate was a cop (which, gross cause ACAB). Maybe a burglar? She’d hoped maybe they were a certain firefighter she knew. Last night confirmed it though.
Catra, who never had anything normal happen to her, was matched with a godsdamn 8-foot tall glowing monster. How fitting.
All she ever wanted was to hide in the background and be medium-happy. That wasn’t a lot to ask! Now she knew she was bound – completely, cosmically, irrevocably – to something weird and supernatural.
Catra was, quite honestly, scared shitless.
5 times Catra's mysterious soulmate saves her life. And the 1 time she gets to return the favor.

Summary
Huntara shrugged her boulder of a shoulder. “She’s cute enough. Not bad to talk to. We just run out of stuff to say to each other all the time.”
“Maybe that’s a sign that you shouldn’t date,” Catra pointed out, taking her own life into her hands.
Huntara just gave her a condescending laugh. “You’re not exactly knuckle-deep in girls so you don’t get to judge. Has anyone ever even asked you out?”
Yes. Once, at least. It felt ironic to bring that up in this particular conversation so Catra just moved forward.
“But what the shit does this have to do with me then?” Catra asked, desperately wanting to be far away from this conversation and anything to do with the topic of Adora Gray.
“You write good.”
“Well,” Catra corrected in a bit of a daze. She was starting to have a terrible feeling about where this might be going.
“And well,” Huntara repeated, letting the point float completely over her giant mohawked head, “You can write out what I should say to her.”

Summary
“Ms. Weaver left very specific instructions in the event of her demise. She would not want the fruits of her hard work to fall into unworthy hands. And she did not believe in handouts. It was her wish for one of you to earn your inheritance. She hand-selected the 10 of you. If you can make it through one single night in this house, you will get everything.”
Adora's eyes shoot across the room. She notes that pretty much everyone looks like they're just taking this in. Interest and suspicion fill most of their faces in equal measure.
“This is ridiculous,” Glimmer says. “This is some kind of prank.”
“I assure you, Miss, that I don't have a sense of humor,” Hordak tells her.
Just one night in the creepy mansion that haunted Adora’s childhood nightmares and she can be rich. Rich enough to pay for med school, help her mom out, and secure her dreams. There’s only 9 other people to outlast, including her two best friends, a shady cast of characters she doesn’t trust, and the girl she’s been in love with her whole life. Easy.

Summary
“I'm leaving Halfmoon,” Catra interrupts, with great indignation. “I'm leaving and finding a suitable mate.”
“No,” is all C’yra finally says.
Catra has already quietly wandered over to the other side of the room where Lonnie keeps her reading and work materials. Catra unfoils an ancient map of Etheria.
“Now,” she mumbles to herself, “How to pick a destination? There must be someplace out there. Something bigger and brighter than Halfmoon.”
Lonnie snorts at the absurdity of this. Catra’s “plan” doesn’t even have a location yet. How typical.
Prince Catra gives a sudden trill. “Bright Moon! What a dumb name. I love it.”
Prince Catra of Halfmoon must find a mate and solidify her connection with the runestone before her 25th birthday if she wants to inherit the throne. Unfortunately, she's either alienated or rejected every eligible woman in the kingdom. But maybe she'll have better luck in Bright Moon. Especially after a chance meeting with a certain blonde with a hero complex.

Summary
But most importantly, there was a topless woman standing in the center of her room, wearing only tiny black boyshorts.
A very familiar topless woman.
Adora felt like an absolute idiot. She’d only spent hours arguing against that voice, taking notes and studying the types of positions she was prone to taking. Trying not to get lost in those hypnotic mismatched blue and gold eyes or that knowing smirk and stumble over her words.
“Catra?!” she said, trying and failing not to sound too surprised.
Catra laughed easily. “You know, literally three people hit on me last night by telling me how unique looking I was and you’ve forgotten who I am twice! It’s humbling, at least.”
Adora wakes up on Christmas with a hangover and a stranger. Well, not a stranger, really. Just her high school crush who she hasn't seen in forever. Eager to get more time with Catra, the two find themselves going on adventures around the city and maybe stumbling into a little Christmas magic.
