A panic started to rise in his chest. He didn't recognize any of it. Not the matching bedside tables, not the window curtains, not clothes on his back. Even the carpet felt odd against his bare feet as he leapt out of bed. He rushed into the ensuite and splashed cold water on his face. Eyes closed, he took a stabilizing breath before slowly opening his eyes to look at his reflection.
