Summary
Chan is done.
Done with working himself to death, done with the impossible expectations he has to meet, done with feeling the hurt so many people inflicted on him. He’s done not being enough, done wasting himself away for something that often feels like it destroys him more than the good it does in the world.
Chan wants to go.
It’s a scary thought, but it’s a thought that’s on the back of his mind all the time. Sometimes it appears randomly when he’s out with his band members, and then it flees before Chan can understand the weight of it. Sometimes it appears when he’s producing music and looking for an emotion that’s strong enough to make into art.
But most often, it appears at night when there’s nothing to distract him from the ugly feeling in his chest, threatening to take over.

Summary
“It was fun,” Felix plops down next to Chan. “Minho ended practice early though. He might come around later.”
“Oh, how come?” Chan asks as he starts to open the food.
“He was worried about you.”
There it is - that same strange tilt to Felix’s voice.
“Why?” Chan furrows his eyebrows. He tries to think back to today, to see if he’s done anything out of the ordinary, but he can’t pick out anything. Surely this isn’t about breakfast? He doubts that would have caused this much worry.
“Well,” Felix seems a bit nervous now, as he leans forward, helping Chan with getting out the dishes from the bag, “To be honest, we’ve been watching your vlive.”
“Oh,” Chan tilts his head to the side, not sure what to say.
“Yeah.”
Felix isn’t looking at him.

Sometimes Chan forgets that he's allowed to be sad too. Felix and Minho are worried.

"It was doomed from the start. Chan could almost see it written like a Shakespearean tragedy, with his name in the title to make sure everyone knows what will happen to him. He supposes it would have made a very entertaining play. It might even would’ve made some audience members cry in another universe, where war isn’t the only thing that exists.
“Chan, why did you do that -,” Changbin chokes as he desperately holds onto the other’s collar. “I’m the defender, you idiot, why did you do that -,”
“I’m okay,” Chan wheezes, and then he’s coughing, something warm in his throat. Changbin reaches to wipe his mouth and even though Chan’s vision is blurry, he can tell that it’s blood. "
You guessed it, a prequel to M.I.A. because apparently the only thing I can write is angst?

“Chan, please,” Minho whispers, fingers loosening on the rifle he’s been holding. He subconsciously leans into the other’s cold touch, ignoring the way the sharp cracks are tearing his skin apart. He’s scared, terrified like he’s never been before, but he’s trapped by the other’s eyes, begging for him to listen.
“Promise me,” the younger whimpers desperately, tightening his hold on Minho. “Please.”
