"I don't know, April, you tell me!” he says as he tugs at a few wires to test them. “You're the one attracting extraordinary situations like a magnet."
"Right," she says, and something sounds off.

Posted a while ago on tumblr. Challenge from a prompt list. @caffeinatedjimmie provided me with n. 17, "I remember kissing you. Why do I remember kissing you ?" with the following rules: DBH - free ship - 500 words.
In retrospect, I'm not sure what was more of a challenge : the 500 words limitation, or the "fluff" category when this sentence inspires so much angst... Anyway, it’s been fun!
