Summary
Coen was scavenging for potion ingredients in a cave when he came face to face with a Murohn. Coen had been able to kill it eventually, but not before its claws tore through the human flesh of his side.
Coen hadn't intended to go to Marat. He knew where the medics and the witches lived. He knew which doors would open for him and which ones wouldn't. He could have found shelter somewhere and settled down to rest before the blood loss became too dangerous. Hell, he could have made the trek to see Anca, but he had wandered in the opposite direction like the complete and utter idiot that he was.
And now his feet had led him here—to Marat.
