Purple lightning crackled on his wrist as his eyes narrowed. "This idiot got possessed? I can take care of that with Zidian! Stand back!"
"Ahaha, Jiang Cheng, there's no need for that!" he protested hurriedly. "Really, I'm not possessed!"
"Ah," Lan Jingyi nodded knowingly. "That's exactly what someone who was possessed and trying to throw us off the trail would say!"

Refusing to give up, Lan Wangji makes a journey and learns to read between the lines of the story he has been told.

Even worse, his tight control over his own emotions is slipping, forcing him to confront his deepest fears and regrets.
He doesn't handle it well.
TW: Goes in-depth into suicidal ideation, anxiety, psychological abuse, and mental health issues. The early chapters especially are dark, but it gets lighter with time. This is essentially the first three games from Miles' perspective.
