Summary
“Bro??”
Cloud whirls around at the sound of the familiar (yet not?) voice, the sight that greets him wrong in and of itself. Though he’s not sure whether that’s because he’s not anybody’s bro (why does he feel like he’s said this before?) or because he was fully expecting to see a chubby, pizza-loving man (?) and not some red-haired child gaping at him from the porch of another patchwork building, his jacket hanging open, his teenaged chest on display.
Or: Gaia, for some unknown and entirely unexplained reason, has given Johnny his memories of the future back. This is all well and good, at least until 14-year-old, amnesiac Cloud runs into him. The main problem: Johnny is still a talker.
Alternate take on chapter 7 of Memory's Struggle if Cloud had run into a Johnny who remembers rather than Biggs, Jessie, and Wedge. Can be read independently, but would probably make more sense if you've read up to chapter 7 of the main fic.

Summary
Lazard, the bastard, forced this job onto innocent, wide-eyed Cloud while on the train to Midgard. All the boy ever wanted was to go to Midgar and join SOLDIER, hopefully meet Sephiroth and the other SOLDIER First Class, and live life happily as a SOLDIER and send money back to his mother.
Instead, he got a job pushed onto him, and now he has to deal with a LOT more than what he expected. He was trying to join SOLDIER as an actual SOLDIER, goddammit, not as the Director of SOLDIER.
Cloud didn't know whether he should feel appalled, amused, or delighted.
At least he still got to meet Sephiroth.
