Summary
Simon figured the Pitches didn’t exactly encourage being open and honest about feelings. Unsurprising, but a little sad. Baz always acted aloof, as though nothing got to him, except with Simon. Simon could always get to Baz.
(When Simon can’t take out his frustration on Baz by fighting him in their room because of the anathema, he resorts to more... unconventional methods).

Eight weeks into their final year at Watford, Baz finally returns—and he's riddled with nightmares. Simon, for more reasons than he'd like to think about, has been sleeping poorly too.
Frayed nerves and a fragile truce carve out a space for them in the dark of night. Their room atop the tower becomes a place where they can talk and ache and profess and yearn, slowly, slowly.
Sharing a room (with a siren) (with an open fire) is sometimes more than either one can bear. Baz wants more, but can't have it; Simon has no idea what he wants.

It wasn’t for them to be together. They were enemies, two sides of a line long ago drawn. If you asked Simon he would say it was inevitable. It was the type of day for accidents and mistakes. If you asked Baz, he would tell you it was a misunderstanding. It was the product of a very intense day.
It was only one silly mistake. And yet, it seemed to be clouding everything. It was a silly mistake that Simon hadn’t been able to stop thinking about. It was one that Baz wanted to repeat until his legs gave out, and his throat closed, and his mouth turned dry.
It was a mistake that started everything.

“Montague Street.” It’s the same guy again. This time he wears suit and Simon stares at him a little bit too long.
“Good morning.”, Simon says and starts the car. It’s early and the roads are still empty. Business hour didn’t start yet. The guy just grunts, but Simon doesn’t let that stop him.
“Had a good night of sleep?”, he asks.
“Just drive the bloody car, please.”or: Simon is a taxi driver and Baz is a snobby customer, but one drunk night....
I hope this explains a little bit what the story is about. It's fluff, it's stuff, I don't know. Have fun!

Summary
'Penny had never foreseen a day where she would feel sorry for a Pitch; they were all fire and smoke, laughing as the word around them burnt. But that day had come, for yes, Baz was fire, but Penny was pretty sure the only person burning was himself.'
She was sick of looking up that prophecy like it was an instruction manual for their lives. She was sick of Simon's discontent, of Agatha's unhappiness, of the whole wretched circus.
She was particularly sick of the boy on the balcony, looking out at the person he was hopelessly in love with but would never try to have. As if he were condemned to forever be the antagonist in somebody else's love story.
So, she decided to do something about it.

Summary
Simon casts a truth spell on Baz that only works if the target has something they want to tell you but won't. They can't stop telling the truth until they confess what they want to.
Baz spends the next few weeks avoiding everyone and everything while trying to break the spell.
Simon spends them trying to corner Baz and get him to reveal what he's plotting.
Penny spends eternity letting out exasperated sighs and 'I told you so's.

Summary
Simon and Baz clashed on everything. Simon didn’t know how to lie, how to be calm and cool and collected and fight with backhanded comments and snide looks. Simon fought for everything- and he did so boldly. Honestly. He loved and hated and fought without guile and with faith that he would survive it. But sometimes Baz looked into his eyes (blue, blue) and wondered if Simon cared if he survived. Baz wondered, in the back of his mind, what caused the restlessness in Simon, in his twitching fingers and scars.
