A mischievous smirk graced Ken's face, prompting David to look at him with a quizzical expression in his eyes. "You sure you don't want any help?" Ken asked, his tone resembling that of a persuasive salesman. "Because I happen to know a thing or two about relaxation, and no offense, but you look like you could use some." Ken playfully winked.

Summary
David Miller could never be truly loved by Exer Campbell. Not in the way David loved him.
Exer was too breathtaking, too special to ever be disgusting like he was. David hated himself so much for letting himself believe that if Exer was this way too, then surely it can’t be all bad. What a cruel lie that turned out to be.
Turns out Exer was too good to be like him. To have this infectious tar in his veins, devoid of any magic or otherworldly power.
Just a sickness that will affect him through every lifetime.

Summary
Being in the 9th grade now and having done a whole season of football, Exer was kind of excited to get back into it.
Not that he particularly enjoyed playing.
He had only really joined because Mr. Miller was adamant that Day was a part of the team, and Exer was never going to let his best friend take such a big step on his own. Oh no, he was going to be right by his side.~
Exer and David navigate the first game of a new football season. Exer realises some harrowing truths along the way.
