When Harry Potter dies in the Forbidden Forest, Death doesn't approve. They don't think it's a fitting end to Harry's story, and so they resolve to create a new one.
Or: Harry Potter is dropped into an alternate world with no Voldemort and no war. He slowly learns his place in this new world, building and losing relationships as he goes trying to find the people who will become his new family.

Summary
James Potter never thought he’d find himself in a situation this bizarre, even by Marauder standards.
Desperate for a way to defeat Voldemort, James and the Order of the Phoenix performed an ancient ritual, summoning a powerful figure from another time and place. When the man arrived, James wasn’t sure if they’d gained an ally or unleashed another threat. But his son, Harry, took to the stranger instantly, fondly dubbing him “Mr. Snitch” after the man playfully adopted the name.
It was hard for James to reconcile Snitch’s gentleness with the sheer skill and power he commanded—power wielded so effortlessly that he spoke Voldemort’s name as if he did not know the concept of fear. And even through his guard, James couldn’t ignore how the stranger softened whenever he played with Harry, his voice almost aching with a quiet, unspoken longing when he spoke with James and Lily.
Who was this man, really? And why did James feel such a pull towards him, a deep warmth that seemed to defy logic? James was determined to uncover the truth, for the stranger felt like more than just an ally. He felt like a friend—like someone James had known for so long.

Summary

Doesn't matter, really. He can look eleven if he wants. What matters is, he's lived all this shit before. SEEN it, anyway. and aged up. And he will not let it go that way this time.
This time, he's taking care of everything. Nobody's dying. Nobody's living in fear. And nobody's camping and starving for months looking for horcruxes. Harry's destroying the damn things immediately. Like, yesterday. Who knows. Time's a little wonky.Severus Snape is not prepared for adult, unhinged Harry Potter. Neither are Sirius, Remus, Ron, or any of the Weasleys. But that's okay. Harry hopes they won't get too attached. Because. Well. Harry's a horcrux. And all horcruxes have to be destroyed.

Summary
Just before his eleventh birthday, Harry is found in a dark London alleyway. He is subsequently taken to stay in the home of one Severus Snape until he begins Hogwarts. Harry isn't quite sure what possessed him to agree to this arrangement, and Severus has no intention of allowing Potter's unfortunate progeny to get under his skin, but this is a Severitus fic, we all know how it ends.
