Summary
Franken Stein and Spirit Albarn had been the most powerful duo at the DWMA until Spirit found out Stein had been experimenting on him and ended their partnership, or at least that's the part of the story that everyone knew. Their history beyond that was a mystery to everyone, even Lord Death, but as Maka became top of her class and a target for kishin eggs, Stein and Spirit were forced into being around each other more often, long suppressed feelings and deeply held grudges start resurfacing. Spirit tries to ignore it, Stein pretends nothing is happening, and the more they both try to avoid it the harder it becomes for them to keep their hands off each other. What starts off as a simple reconciliation becomes a burdening secret, not only effecting them but everyone around them.
