Summary
It started during a series of away games in their rookie season.
Mack had trouble sleeping after multiple losses, so Will offered for them to watch a movie. They ended up falling asleep in the same bed, and it became a regular, normal thing for them.
Then Toff finds them sharing a bed, and disrupts their little bubble.

Summary
Will clears his throat. "So last night, I guess we kind of..."
Mack takes a mental inventory.
-They're in each other’s pants.
-Their underwear are in a pile on the floor.
-The door is locked.
-There's a sticky streak down Will’s abs.
-Mack’s lips are swollen."Yeah," Mack says. "I guess we did."
They may not remember exactly what happened, but they get the gist. And when both of them score a dick trick at the next game, they figure they've got to recreate it before every game.
You know, for the betterment of the team.
OR
Mack and Will get their first superstition. And it's a joint superstition, because of course it is.

Summary
Before they head back out, Will bumps his shoulder into Mack. “You good?” he asks, immediately regretting the vague phrasing. Will wanted to be specific about the hits, the hesitation. Don’t say you didn’t grimace, Celebrini. I see you.
The thought stalls Will’s brain and he barely acknowledges Mack’s, “Yeah, of course.”
OR
Mack gets hurt and misses Christmas. Will misses Mack and isn't handling it well. They don't really talk about it.

He pulled out his phone and hit the second favourite saved in his contacts. It rang and rang until Mack was hit with the familiar voicemail,
“Can’t have my phone on the rink, leave a message, unless its coach… then I’m obviously not on the rink”or
Mack acted without thinking, which isn't anything new... but now his world is collapsing around him

Summary
With a slight sway in his step Will made it to the closed door. When he’d awoken in Macklin’s bed two days ago, he made the bed with clinical precision and closed the door firmly on his lack of better judgement. He could forget he was never there. He would forget he was never there. Will rested his forehead against the door now, breathing through the spin of the room around him, and couldn’t do anything but remember.

Will is housesitting for Mack during the Olympic break, the longest they've been apart since knowing one another, and isn't coping with any of it.
