Summary
When Katara’s grandfather dies, she travels back home to the South Pole for the first time in a long time for the funeral. She hates being home almost as much as she hates seeing her ex Zuko again. As if the weekend can’t get any worse, she and Zuko get snowed in together, but when she’s stuck with him for days in a row, Katara admits to herself she’s nowhere close to hating him.

Summary
It is 8th year at Hogwarts. The war has ended. Voldemort is dead. Hermione, Harry & Ron have returned to complete their final year of studies. Along with many other students whose education was cut short by the war.
Draco has also returned. Having been found not guilty of war crimes, greatly due to the testimony of Harry Potter and Hermione herself. He was released into the care of his Aunt Andromeda. Draco feels somewhat indebted to them, although he is struggling to deal with nightmares of the torture he witnessed in Malfoy Manor during the war, the deaths he feels his cowardice is responsible for, and his conflicting emotions about his father.
When school starts, Hermione arrives at Hogwarts different. She doesn’t seem to be speaking to anyone. Gone is the headstrong, confident girl he saw at his trial. Instead, Hermione seems to be trapped in a world of self induced silence.

Summary
Katara and Zuko's mission on board The Southern Raiders goes badly wrong, and they are captured and imprisoned in the unforgiving hull of the ship.
Katara now finds herself locked in a small room with a boy that she refuses to trust, and nine years worth of trauma and guilt swimming in her mind. She is resolute in her hostility towards Zuko, but as the horrors of their captivity unfold, an undeniable bond is formed in the quiet moments between their captor's torments.
When they find themselves safely back with their friends on Ember Island, they are both sporting deep scars – old and new, seen and unseen. Katara struggles to reconcile all the pieces of herself and figure out who she truly is. And Zuko continues to battle with his past guilt, and the new guilt that arises from his growing feelings towards Katara.
As their bond deepens – it may be the lifeline they both so desperately need to pull them from the dark waters of their past.
