Summary
Once a year, the world's best trainers compete for the title of World Champion. Toril, the favorite, has dedicated her life to battling. Aracely, the underdog, has not. At the end of Harry’s fourth year, Dumbledore creates a respawn point for Harry to return to in the event of his death. He intended for this to give his young protegee the time and resources to learn how to defeat the Dark Lord. Instead, he finds himself trapped in an infinite time loop with a teenager intent on grinding side-quests and hunting achievements rather than fulfilling his destiny.

The chiseled statue towering over you is stark naked but for a sweeping cloak, frozen dramatically mid-billow. One arm is swept to a side, the other hand rested on the pommel of a Caledfwlch mounted deep in its engraved stone pedestal. Ironically, the strange jutting form of your stupid egg sword is the one thing they managed to accurately reproduce. Its eyes are cavernous sockets, bleeding slick liquid upwards over your forehead, and you have a feeling that had the artist put color to their work, those antigravity dribbles wouldn't be red.
Four teenagers find themselves back on Earth after their untimely deaths. It isn't exactly as they remember.

"And then there's a customized copy of PONY PALS, a gift to you on your 14th birthday from the slippery Mr. Strider. Each page contains lovingly hand-written commentary on the deeds of this intrepid young horse. Later, about halfway through the book, rather than see the gag through to the bitter end, Strider began pasting over entire pages of original text with his own completely rewritten version of the story, while keeping all the chapter titles. His revision is a tough, emotionally draining read. But it's cathartic, in all the worst ways possible.
He tends to get carried away with his projects."Note: this work is an altered book, and it plays on the physical relationship between the original pages and the edited text. As such, it's presented as a series of images. Reading the images is the only way to get the full experience, but I'm aware that some people can't/don't want to read it that way. So if that's the case, you can skip to chapter 13, which is a text-only version of the story, including rough descriptions of the most important illustrations.
