Dr. Alanna Davis had her life all mapped out. Undergrad at Cornell, Medical School at McGill, and eventually land in the C-Suite at one of the country’s top hospitals. Everything was going according to plan, until her life completely derailed days before she was set to begin her last year of residency.
For the past three years, she has spent her life on the move, trying to outrun the nightmares of her past, always looking over her shoulders, doing her best to stay one step ahead.
Until Pittsburgh, PTMC and Dr. Jack Abbot - a city where there are no connections to her past; a job that provides her the opportunity to complete her residency; and a man who knows what its like to taste heartache and war. Alanna knows that this place, like all the others before, is temporary. What she doesn’t expect, is how quickly it feels like home, and how dangerous it can be to open her heart to the future.
