Something curdles in Olli at the suggestion. “It’s not like that, man,” he mumbles, trying to laugh at it. It wasn’t like that. It was never like that. He knew that it wasn’t and was never going to. He wasn’t ashamed of it, per se, but they wouldn’t understand it. It wasn’t like Olli understood why it was like that either, just that it was.
