Boy-crazy Tiffany Harmon develops a crush on her new art teacher, Dennis Haddock.
One day, after accidentally breaking his window, Dennis orders Tiffany to assist in household chores as an alternative to calling her parents and a month of detention.
Over time, as Tiffany spends each evening getting chores done at Dennis' house, she begins to grow on him and he eventually reciprocates her feelings.
Tiffany and Dennis love each other dearly, but for obvious reasons, they must keep their relationship a secret.
Dennis swears Tiffany to secrecy, and she continually lies to her parents about where she is so she can keep visiting Dennis.
