Summary
Sakura grinned up at Naruto’s happy face, only now realizing how much taller he was, and how wide his shoulders seemed. He grew into a man without her noticing. For a moment, she even felt confused as she suddenly breathed in his subtle perfume and felt her heartbeat speed up, her cheeks heat up, and her chest fill with something warm and expanding – her breathing felt harder for a second, but then they stepped away again, and she could finally breathe. She glanced at him, him being as oblivious as always. He grinned around him, dancers passing him, bowing their head and moving with the rhythm. When he met her again, his eyes once more caught hers, and it took her breath away – again. He seemed… Beautiful.

“C’mon, don’t cry. This isn’t like you. Where did my ‘Gumi go?”
“Ask me when I don’t feel like crap and don’t call me that.”
“Ah, there you are.” Satoru tries to smile as he finishes wiping away excess tears, unfazed by gross snot. He wipes his hand against Megumi’s shirt and then claps suddenly. “Come on, let’s get something to bring down that fever. I left the medicine on the counter. Let me go grab it—“
Megumi throws himself into Satoru’s arms, wrapping his own tightly around his neck and shoulders, just shy of strangling him. “—for you,” he finishes. His hands hover with uncertainty over Megumi’s back because in all the time he's known him, Megumi's never done this.

Summary
Megumi looks up at the ceiling, his brow furrowing. Gojo isn’t invincible. He’s always known that, deep down, but seeing it up close like this, feeling it—he doesn’t like it. He doesn’t like the thought of him disappearing.
Megumi exhales slowly and shuts his eyes. He’ll stay awake, just a bit longer. To make sure Gojo’s really okay.

Summary
When she left to carry out the mission entrusted to them by Kakashi-sensei a few days ago, she would never have expected that at a certain point she would find herself on the edge, one step away from confessing everything to him during a dark and stormy night.
[...]
“I love you,” she whispers, her cheeks flushing pink with shyness and the happiness of finally being able to say it out loud. “I fell in love with a blond boy… and I don't even like blonds,” she mutters again, sure she's been heard.
She's kept it hidden for so long, and now she doesn't want to anymore.
Naruto's breathing stutters for a moment, but he manages to recover in time and chuckles under his breath. He runs his hands down Sakura's back, resting his cheek against her forehead. “What bad luck, Sakura-chan,” he snorts. “But you’re still lucky, ya know?”
“Why?”
“Because I love you too.”Bookmarked by Prplvintages
