I consider this vessel my crowning achievement. The envy of even the gods.
It took Lucilius thirty-two hours to craft each individual joint in Lucifer's body. It took a lifetime of dreaming and planning to have the chance to do so, to refute the limitations posited by his birth as an Astral. But he was never meant to inhabit the body he created; his greatest creation was supposed to stand as his equal, to complete him.
This was never part of his plans.

Summary
Executor Federico first learned how to read emotions when he was a child. Different emotions can be substituted with lines: straight lines and curves form different patterns, and each pattern corresponds to a different state of mind. Sadness, grief, anger, fury. But that was not everything that Federico saw in the Doctor, when they arrived too late to save the village. He saw an emotion that embrace the thorns all the same.
When the Law of Laterano alone proved insufficient to enact justice, an executor must lend their hand. But where does the law come from, and how does one find justice? If laws and emotions both stem from human experience, does one not influence the other?
