Summary
When Jason comes out of the Pit, trauma and a years-old misunderstanding make for an unfortunate combination as he learns other children have fallen under Batman's influence. Now a trained and highly skilled assassin, he will do anything to protect his newest siblings from the demons of his past... Honestly, this would all be a lot easier if everybody just made sure they were talking about the same thing.
Or: a years-old secret leads to Jason kidnapping the Robins to save them from a not-so-evil Batman who just wants his children to be safe.

Summary
"I kill so others don't have to," Bruce states firmly and clearly. This entire situation didn't seem like it could get any more bizarre, what with Bruce sitting in the dark and polishing guns, but somehow it just has, "While you are here you will not kill."
Jason's throat is scratchy and dry with terror, but the insatiable feeling of being talked over and disregarded is a fresh wound. He can't back down from this if he tried, "I've killed. I still kill. Who the fuck do you think you are to stop me?"
Bruce gently sets down his gun, and picks up the blade beside him with practised ease. Jason's blood runs cold when the man wearing his father's face says, "You will die by my hand if you try."
(Jason meets a version of Bruce who has manifested his fears very differently.)

Summary
Jason's on the trail of a killer who's targeting kids in Crime Alley for an unknown magical ritual. Between that and his family who insists on butting in, he's got his work cut out for him. But, as they say, nothing is as it seems.
Magic doesn’t come to Gotham.
Which is simplifying it. Because, well, magic isn’t allowed in Gotham, first off. But also, it really doesn’t want to come to Gotham. Of all the things the Bat tries to keep out, magic is the easiest because magic wants to stay as far away from the city as possible. Zatanna called it a “cesspit of untamed ambient magic,” which was being nice even with calling it a cesspit. The last time some asked Constantine about Gotham he just laughed, lit his cigarette, and walked away.

But Bruce should’ve noticed. Should’ve noticed the boy’s identical frown when he first woke up in the morning. Should’ve noticed the arched eyebrows that looked like a bat’s wings. Should’ve noticed the identical dimples that sat right in the middle of his cheeks. But what he really should’ve noticed were Duke’s eyes. Because Elaine had brown eyes, and Gnomon’s were that odd shimmering gold, but Duke’s were a bright, crystal blue. A blue that matched his own.
Or, I read a bunch of AU's where one of the Batkids is revealed to be Bruce's bio kids but literally NOBODY ever does this with Duke and I think that's an injustice so I did it myself smh. Do better.
