Steve goes into heat and asks Eddie and Billy to help him through it.

Steve half nods before stopping, eyes fluttering down, mouth working for a long moment as he thinks, "or."
"Or?" Eddie parrots back confused, taking another step back and dropping the bowls on the little rickety table so they don't lose another one if he has to cover his nose to control himself. Steve's hormones may just be pre heat but they are still strong, still make Eddie want.
Steve's long legs shift under him as he twists on the couch, whole body keeping in line with Eddie’s as he leans on the arm of the couch. Eddie's traitorous mind points out how easy it would be to drag his pants and defective underwear down and press right in, one knee on the couch, other planted on the floor for the perfect leverage to get Steve gushing more slick as he- "You're an alpha and Billy’s an alpha."

“Still not graduated, Harrington?”
It’s something Eddie would have said teasingly when they were teens. Steve would have smacked him on the shoulder, affectionately calling him an asshole before being pulled into an apologetic kiss. But they are not teenagers anymore and Eddie’s voice lacks any of the warmth that used to be reserved for Steve. Now, it’s just loaded with resentment, which, yeah, is a fair reaction.
“I…eh…work here now,” Steve says lamely and points at his office door. “Guidance counselor.”
or: 14 years after his first big heartbreak, Steve's life is relatively stable. It's been two years since the tragic incident that led to him becoming Dustin's guardian, both of them slowly healing. Summary
Jason and Billy both have their eyes on the same human. Little do they know he's caught the eye of the sea witch too.

"What are you playing at Carver?"
"I'm not playing anything! I like him and you haven't claimed him." Jason knows. He would smell Billy on him if he had and if the bite was on any skin visible there would be a smattering of scales to let other mers know this one is off limits. Steve holds neither, meaning he is fair game.
"He's mine," Billy says angrily, tail twisting around Jason’s as he pushes him to the sandy bottom, a rock digging into his shoulder as he tries to push the bigger mer off.
"He's no one’s," Jason spits out, knocking his forehead into Billy's. It takes him more by surprise than hurts him and gives Jason the room he needs to wriggle free.

Summary
Eddie has a plan to woo Steve with the help of his bats.

"Alright, we know the plan right?" Eddie asks, looking at the colony of bats hanging from the trees outside the Harrington house. There is the fluttering of wings and a chorus of clicks from them. Eddie’s own inky black wings twitching, long matching tail shifting back and forth against the snow covered ground.
Eddie eyes them with disbelief the last time he asked them to help with a plan they nearly gave Uncle Wayne a heart attack by swarming him. "I don't want a repeat of last time." Eddie warns last coming out with a lisp on account of the fangs. He is still learning to talk around them.
"Steve loves Christmas, if you fuck this up for me he's never going to speak to me again much less kiss me." Eddie wants to do a lot more than kissing but it is a good start. A nice start for a nice guy who has been letting him feed off of him since he came back from the upside down with a thirst for blood.

Summary
The kid scrunched her face up at him, eyes narrowing.
“You’re… stuck.” She paused, tilting her head and staring disconcertingly at him. “In the Upside-Down? Why were you in the Upside-Down?”
“Does that mean I’m not dead? ‘Cause, I’m like, ninety-eight percent sure I died.” Eddie scrunched up his own face and tried to remember his final moments. Something about ‘86 being his year… Dustin. He remembered Dustin. Poor kid.
Did that mean this was his afterlife? Eddie wasn’t impressed.
“Not dead. Stuck,” The kid insisted, “stuck in the in-between place. You’re not supposed to be here.”
“Are you God?” Eddie asked, and that was all he got out before the kid put a hand on his chest and lightly shoved him. He was punched through the water, falling backward and then forward and then coming to with an embarrassing gasping cough.

Or, Eddie gets brought back to life with a few key differences, feat Steve realizing that you can like girls and boys.
