“Because something broken and healed is far stronger. There is beauty in healing, in understanding where we went wrong, and repairing the damage.”

Was this his quirk? Was his body healing the wounds of his past with golden paint as if Izuku himself were a shattered vase, knit together with the love and care of a gentle potter who only wanted to see him still be of some use or sit beautifully on a shelf?

Today was a no spoons day. Today was a ‘wake up overstimulated’ day. His body had woken up and chosen violence and it wasn’t even seven am yet. He sighed. While he was familiar with these episodes, they weren’t that common now that he was in high school. His mother would tell him of her struggles with him as a child and how she couldn’t even touch him some days. Izuku liked to think that’s why he was so independent. Inko, his mother, would say it’s why he was so soft hearted and frail.

OR: Izuku wakes up incredibly overstimulated. Something weird is going on, but he refuses to admit it's more than just his mind and body betraying him. There's no way it could be more than that, right?
