Summary
“I can take your suffering from you.” Nat can feel it’s a choice. Give up and be happy with fake Jackie until she dies of hypothermia, or she can continue on and hope to get rescue for everyone. Letting fake Jackie take away her suffering sounds better than it should, but Nat knows she can’t accept it. She just knows it’s a small portion of her brain that is tired of everything.
Based on Suffering from Epic the Musical, Jackie never got on the plane, so she never died. Nat starts to hallucinate Jackie as shes trying to get high enough to call for help.

“I can’t tell you all of the details. I failed to save them. I used the friends I did have to make sure I could survive. We lost so many people and I couldn’t help them.” Nat said it in a sad, pained voice before continuing to get angry, “So how, how, can you still want to be with me? I failed them! I am not the same anymore! I am not that person!”
That was enough to upset Jackie. She knows that she can’t possibly understand what they went through. She wasn’t there, but she knows Nat didn’t change.
What happens if Jackie was injured during States and didn't go with them to Nationals? Based on the song from Epic the Musical.
