Summary
After what feels like an eternity, Ei stands over a field of dead bodies, breathing heavily. Her hand relaxes around her katana as she comes to terms with her victory. She drags her hand against her face, blood on her face pouring onto her hand. She makes a muffled sound of relief. As she’s on the verge of succumbing to her fatigue, Yae runs forward and catches her. Ei leans forward, over her shoulder, two arms wrapped strongly around her waist. “You saved me.”
She’s always there holding me close with gentleness I don’t deserve.

Summary
When the Watatsumi Shrine closes its doors, the young shrine maiden Sangonomiya Kokomi finds herself working at the Narukami Shrine while trying to figure out how to put her life back together. Between the beautiful, teasing Guuji Yae and the unbelievably hot freeloading loser Ei, though, the poor shrine maiden finds herself very much in over her head.
As she gets to know the beautiful women she now dwells with, Kokomi comes face to face with living relics of a past buried by the secular present and stands side-by-side with legends as she works to protect the life she's coming to love... and realizes that maybe, just maybe, she's finally found the home she's been seeking her entire life.
(illustrated fic, each chapter has one or more scene illustrations... it's fully-written but has a very slow posting schedule to accommodate illustration time! everything will be up eventually!)
