Summary
The last time Doflamingo saw his little sister Rosinante was when Doflamingo killed their father and sawed his head off to carry back to Marie Geoise.
He’d taken his eyes off Rosinante for just a moment to use his shirt to clean their father’s blood off of his glasses, and when he put his glasses back on, Rosinante was gone.
He’d always assumed Rosi had died in the woods somewhere. Sometimes he caught himself in daydreams where he returned to those woods to reclaim his beloved little sister's bones.
He never expected to come face to face with his deceased sister upon stepping into a Navy base for his first Warlord meeting.

Summary
Law wasn’t even sure why he was here. Yeah, it was Shachi and Penguin’s Halloween party and yeah, he wanted to support his friends, but he didn’t really know anyone here besides Shachi and Penguin. Well, he thought he saw Bepo wandering around in the kitchen, wearing a polar bear onesie. Why did a mink who looked like a white bear want to dress up as a white bear for a Halloween party?
Law could’ve been at home right now, watching horror movies about doctors and critiquing the lack of medical knowledge depicted in the horror scenes, but instead he was leaning against a wall at Shachi and Penguin’s place, wasting a really good costume on a crowd that probably wouldn’t even recognize it.
Just as Law was considering leaving the party early, there was sudden frantic knocking at the front door. Shachi and Penguin were busy trying to restock the party snacks, so Law went to answer the door. He opened it and came face to face with the person he was hoping to see, the actual reason he'd agreed to come to this party.

But those days were long behind him. Now, his days were still stressful but for different reasons.
He sat on the porch swing on the front porch of the house he shared with his husband, Rosinante. The neighbor's kids were screaming happily and playing in piles of crunchy autumn leaves, already dressed in their costumes even though the afternoon sun was still strong overhead.

Summary
Law reaches over to take the lipstick tube from Rosinante with gentle, delicate fingers, even as he glares at the uncapped end like it personally offends him. The sight is so adorable, Rosinante can’t help but let go of some of the tension on his shoulders.
For a second, he imagines what Law would look like covered in lipstick kisses, and a possessive little thrill rushes down his spine, makes heat pool low in his belly. Perhaps the makeup is an idea worth revisiting at some point in the future.

What is the self but a collection of our experiences?
Doffy didn't listen to the adults because he was afraid or anything. He's too brave and strong for that. He is simply old enough, mature enough, to understand what being an adult is like.
