Summary
As they started pulling tables together, Peter immediately went up to Joan and the other waitresses to apologize for all the people. They shushed him, thrilled the place was crowded for a change. He promised to keep the volume down and mess at a minimum. For his trouble, he got a cheek pinch and a free chocolate shake. He grinned at Lara Jean after setting his acquisition down on the table. She put a hand over his gloating face, shaking her head at the effectiveness of the Kavinsky charm.

Summary
Peter’s face arranged into a look of amazement. Was she serious, right now? Lara Jean uncrossed and crossed her arms again, a sign she was getting annoyed and self-conscious about something she said that confused him. She rarely felt uneasy about their difference in experience any more, especially at the clip they were closing the gap, but it still happened sometimes, often when it seemed like she didn’t understand something basic. Peter could see the beginnings of frustration and decided he should say something, but he couldn’t get over how dense she could be.
______________________________Lara Jean thinks she goes unnoticed. In a kitchen between cookies and kisses Peter disabuses her of that notion.

Summary
Over the course of a chaotic six-hour party, director Louis de Pointe du Lac and actor Lestat de Lioncourt keep crossing paths.
It's not like Louis wants to talk to him but, surrounded by well-intentioned meddlers, friends who seem only interested to ruining his night, and copious amounts of alcohol, Louis starts to question if he will be able to survive the night without doing something genuinely stupid.

Summary
Assistant producer and writer for The Daniel Molloy Show, Louis de Pointe du Lac is about to swear off love, right up until the perfect man, Armand, walks into his life. Well, almost perfect. It’s complicated.
What’s not complicated is how much he wants to prove to his insufferably smug (and unfairly gorgeous) coworker, Lestat, that love really can conquer all.
If only the blond menace would stop pointing out that maybe the only one making things complicated is Louis himself.

Summary
“Have you any idea how many years I spent pretending that the hand at the back of my neck wasn’t my hand?”
Louis, through his lips stained red with tears, “Seventy-seven?”
“Non, my sweet Louis. One hundred and ninety-nine years.”
It takes a minute for Louis to register what’s just come out of Lestat's mouth. It seems improbable, big in a way that can’t be contained in this room, this conversation. Louis can’t believe Lestat is admitting this to him, slicing a piece of his heart and serving it to him like a sickening hors d’oeuvre, with a fucking wall of ceramic between them. Lestat has been alive for 264 years. They were together for 65 years. This simple maths, this elementary subtraction, has worlds bursting to life within Louis. Filling up the spaces between his synapses, inflating his veins. It’s so like Lestat to give up an offering like this in such an easy way. Like the confession booth doesn’t separate them; Louis the priest and Lestat the sinner.
