    Summary

This universe is completely different from his own; yet, in many respects, it's the same in the ways that matter. The Red Hood finds a broken bird in an abandoned wing of Arkham Asylum and rescues him. He doesn't expect for the bird to grow attached; or for him to do the same.

Basically, post-UtRH Jason gets punted into the Arkham-verse and, upon seeing Arkham Jason, goes "Is anyone gonna save him or am I gonna have to do it myself?" while completely disregarding the fact that he's a complete disaster himself.

    Summary

    I suck at summaries:

When April finds herself confused and lost in the sewers she focuses simply on getting out. Imagine her surprise when she realizes she isn't just lost, she's somehow traveled to another dimension. If there's anything she's almost absolutely certain of it's that this is probably Donnie's fault.

    Summary

Bruce Wayne is Batman. It’s all he has left.

But during what should have been a routine fight in Gotham, Bruce is thrown across the multiverse into a world that isn’t his.

A world where Batman already exists.

A world where Bruce Wayne is older… and has children.

Now the younger Bruce must face a version of himself who managed to build something he lost long ago — a family.

Or a younger Bruce Wayne is thrown into another universe, where an older version of himself has somehow become the father of multiple children.

    Summary

Kakashi stared. And stared. And stared and stared and stared some more, but he still can't seem to get enough of what he was seeing.

But then this was a world in war, all was still in hell, they had war dogs beyond the borders and inside the walls, and Gai was all but lost since Kakashi daren't remembered and - could Kakashi even say he was a good friend to Gai? He couldn't even, shame on him, remember the last time he'd actually talked to Gai OR bothered to keep tabs on his well-being or life (that was ages, years ago, right after Gai had just received his chuunin vest and almost immediately went MIA with his entire team after their dispatch to what was supposedly a deadly mission), so naturally, of course Kakashi wouldn't know if the bastard sired a son or not.

"Hey, kid, sorry for staring so much. Where's your mother? Or father?"

"I have no parents. I'm an orphan."

And Kakashi, senior in living through this cruel, cruel world, but had his - he was proud of it, he begrudgingly admitted so - talents and ingenuity to survive on, was going to make sure this child survived in this world.

    ===

An AU where history is different, and 19-year-old Kakashi scrambles to be Lee's foster parent.

    Summary

You didn’t expect me to be someone you cared about. Damian finishes the thought for him, teeth gritting behind his closed lips. His skin is prickling with the pressure of being seen, recognized. It’s not what he wanted. It’s not what he asked for. And yet—when Grayson’s hand brushes his elbow again, steadying him gently as they walk down the fire escape, Damian doesn’t pull away. His instincts are screaming at him to shake the touch off. That’s just sympathy. Just pity.

    It doesn’t mean anything.

He is just a civilian, Damian reminds himself harshly, over and over like a mantra. He does not matter. His affection does not matter. But the words lose their sharpness the longer Grayson looks at him like that—like Damian is someone, not something broken or dangerous. Not just another shadow in the night.

    Or,

Damian al Ghul is sent to Gotham with a mission: earn the right to stand beside the Batman. He will not grovel for a place at his father's side like some desperate orphan—he will prove he belongs there. But, Officer Grayson refuses to let the wounded boy he keeps running into disappear into the dark.
