Leo shouldn't be out here. He knew that, but the idea of filling his room with smoke was sickening. The bridge was beautiful this time of night anyhow. The clouds of smoke were bigger, given the time of year it was, and they floated and twisted up in puffy tendrils reaching up to the sky.

Leo sneaks out quite a bit at night, not knowing what he's searching for. One night he comes across a bonfire surrounded by drunk teens, which would normally be concerning, but he's high and Yokai acceptance is more widespread, so he's invited to join the group. One thing leads to another, and he ends up with a tongue down his throat and a number in his phone.

Freddy set the freshly baked apple pie on the window sill, watching Gregory from the corner of his eye staring at the food longingly. With a smile, he led the boy away from the kitchen and into their living room.
“Gregory, I understand you love pies but I’m sorry, that wasn’t for you.”
The child pouted and crossed his arms, sending Freddy a glare that held no real venom in it. The bear always found it adorable when Gregory did that though.
“Who’s it for then? No one else is here but us.”
“It’s for our new neighbor!”
