Summary
Danny and Jazz moved to Gotham for a new start, especially since Danny had become weak and blind due to a bad reveal, which led to him being handed over to the GIW. It wasn’t ideal, but the wounds that Danny received during his captivity were so severe that if he overworked himself, he could actually die because of the strain.
So here they are, living in a small apartment in Crime Alley, and working at a club that allowed them some leeway for Jazz to check on Danny every now and again. They were surviving, not yet living, but just getting by enough to make a change in their new life.
However, a shadow of the past began to linger near them, but these ghosts were from a past that had long since been forgotten.

Summary
Prologue: The secrets of the Playtime Company are deep-seated in the earth. Experimentations, torture, coercion and murder were everyday occurrences. It took the Hour of Joy to end one horror and replace it with another. Death became the only true Salvation, the only true Freedom. But they say sometimes a place so rooted in darkness, fear and pain can bring the attention of greater forces to it; and something out there in the universe decided a long time ago that second chances at a good life was well deserved.
Summary: When DogDay died after being taken over by the mini-Critters, he thought that was the end. But he was surprised when he opened his eyes again to a new world, so familiar to the one he was trapped in, but also so much freer and safer. It's a world where the children of Playtime Co were given a second chance to live, without the tortures of their previous lives. As more characters join their new world, tendrils from the old one reaches in and threatens to destroy their lives once more. It is up for the tortured souls of Playtime to make another stand against the forces that threaten their happiness and peace.

Summary
Angel has managed to do what was thought impossible: eliminate the prototype. But at what cost! All her friends and toys are dead. A mysterious entity then invites her to return to the past to change the fate of the Hour of Joy and its consequences.
But as she gets used to this new life, ghosts from her past come back to haunt her, while she already has to deal with the factory managers and Dr Harley before he becomes a machine.
Playtime holds many secrets, including the transformation of children into bloodthirsty toys, secret projects known only to a select few, and enough to make even the most daring pale.
