Summary
Felix has a crush on a girl. She’s pretty, kind, funny, smart, and all around wonderful. This summer, he’s got the perfect plan to make her fall for him - this summer, he gets the girl of his dreams.
But then his friends’ other friend comes to visit. Chan is annoying, sarcastic, irritating… and yet, somehow, reminiscent of home in the most infuriating, sparkly-eyed way. Somehow, he's entirely impossible to ignore.

Summary
“I don’t care if you’re my soulmate, I will never love you!”
Felix had always considered himself somewhat of a hopeless romantic. From the time he was young and read book upon book of grand tales filled with sweeping love stories, he knew that was the type of romance he wanted to have. How exactly he was going to make that dream come true, Felix wasn’t completely sure, only that it would happen. It had to.
Or, that’s what he’d thought and hoped for until he met one Bang Chan, the resident thorn in Felix’s side, and his expectations got turned on their head.

Summary
“Chan,” Felix breathed, “you have to let me up. We have to get out of here.”
“If we hide they might leave,” Chan argued.
“You know they won’t, darling,” Felix murmured, reaching up a shaking hand to rest on Chan’s cheek. “We will be alright, Chan. For all our petty fears…”
“...we are not divided by the waves.”
It was an old poem, one that Felix quoted to him often. It steadied him. The gunshots drifted from the room, probably going further inside, but Chan could still hear breathing. He rose to his feet regardless, throwing himself and Felix behind a stone pillar a few feet away.
OR--
Chan, in a quest to cure his cursed husband, learns the power of his love for others, and learns to accept that love when it is mirrored back at him. (Or or, nearly 18,000 words of me putting Chan through hell and then fixing it)

Summary
"If we’re still single when we’re thirty, we could always just get married. You and me.”
“Really? A marriage pact? I think I’m too drunk for that.”
Felix was definitely drunk. Chris was right. Too drunk for them to be agreeing to a marriage pact. Still, Felix grabbed a napkin and a pen and wrote it out in sloppy handwriting.
Felix still has that napkin, now. It’s tucked away in one of his comic books. They have mentioned it jokingly a few times after making the pact, but then Chris started dating and there hasn’t been much of a reason to bring it up.
Until now.

Summary
"So," Chan says, slapping both hands onto Felix's checkout counter.
"So," Felix returns, flicking Chan's fingers until he removes them.
"The road trip."
"What about it?"
"I feel like we missed our window," Chan says. "Summer's probably the perfect time for it, but it's already winter."
"Guess we should call it quits."
"Nah. I was thinking we save up for the next several months, wait out winter and most of spring, and then we leave right before summer starts," Chan says, holding up a finger for each point. "It'll be hot, but not too hot."
"That sounds nice," Felix says and he means it. It feels strange to mean it. "But I'm still not convinced."
"Pack your bags, Felix Lee," Chan grins, reaching out to poke Felix's nose. "We're going on this trip."
…
Or: Felix is stuck in a mundane life. Chan is aimless after losing a promising career. Together, they decide to do something fun about it.
