newly promoted Interpol Special Agent Laura Hollis aka “Lauranica Mars”, aka (more like self-proclaimed) “Lawless” - LAUra HoLLIS (she giggles every time she explains it to people) - gets assigned to investigate a series of women disappearances possibly linked to a drug cartel. Her case leads her to local mob boss’ girlfriend and “Girl-Who-Pulls-Off-Leather-Like-No-Other”, Carmilla Karnstein aka (dubbed by Laura) “Most Uncooperative Person On The Planet” who, after handcuffing Carmilla and dragging her in for interrogation, Laura discovers is actually a deep-cover agent for the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency).
