Summary
Sam is almost halfway through the paper when he sees it.
The title is clear and eye-catching and Sam can't help but have a closer look. He skims the first few lines and scoffs, unable to comprehend what manner of sorcery drove this poor bastard to do this.
"Dean." He calls, "Look at this."
"Is it a case?" Dean wonders, perking up immediately.
"Dean…" he trails off, trying to find the right words. "This is - this is the stuff of chick flicks."
Dean's expression twists. "I'm eating Sam, read it out."
"It's titled 'Brothers'."
He notes the way Cass' eyes flick over in interest.
"I saved you from the pits of hell. I saved you from yourself. I know that you love me, yet you wish I were someone else."
With a chortle Dean points his spoon at Cass. "Did you put out an ad? I know I'm your brother, no need to be sappy."
Cass just glares at his brother until the smug smile is wiped off his face.
"Your lips are like honey, your eyes a deep abyss." Sam looks up. "This isn't Cass. This is a… love letter? Poem?"
"Poor guy." Dean murmurs.

Castiel puts an ad in the paper. The Winchesters are too dense to figure out that it was intended for Dean.

“I hit him with a love spell,” The witch said and Castiel turned to glare at her. “Oh don’t be too sad sweetie, he’s in love with you now! Completely infatuated , would soon rather die than see you in pain. He’ll die for you, all we have to do is hurt you just a little and he’ll beg us to kill him and spare you instead. Isn’t it sweet how-”
“Lady,” Dean turned to glare at her, talking around his coughs. “Before you talk all high and mighty, you might want to check that your dumb spell worked.”
The girl’s mouth dropped as Dean turned to her, trying to force his coughs to stop. “But that- That’s impossible!” She shrieked and Dean looked himself up and down.
“Not looking like it.” Dean said.

Dean's feelings are forced out of him when a witch's love spell doesn't work on him and he panics.
Cas is there to let him know there's nothing to be worried about.

“cas brings dean a 4am cup of coffee while they're still researching in the bunker library; another all nighter to save the innocent. cas puts the steaming mug down in front of dean, and dean snags cas' sleeve, yanking him down and kissing him on the cheek as a thank you; just barely catching the side of cas' mouth. it isnt until dean has pulled away and taken a large sip of coffee he realizes with startling clarity that he just kissed cas for the very first time.”
