She fluttered around the room as she got ready, that same unsettling calm demeanor that took over her whenever there was an event. His girlfriend absolutely thrived in this environment, which said wonders about her high tolerance of bullshit."
Obi-Wan is a grad student and Satine is a politician who has no qualms about making decisions without him. Or, rather, being swayed into making the 'right' decisions with or without him.

Dazed, Obi-Wan regains consciousness an indeterminate amount of time later. Slowly opening his eyes, he cautiously looks down at himself and finds that he is lying in a medical bed, hanging from several IVs and wires. Lifting his gaze, sulfur eyes glint sadly at him, while a cybernetic hand holds his. Astonished, the Jedi Master stares into the nearly intact, if aged and wrinkled, deathly pale face of his former Padawan. Tears immediately flow from the corners of his eyes. Hesitantly, Obi-Wan slides the respirator from his mouth and nose.
