The death of the seductive woman has him in a mental spiral, but thank goodness he could seek comfort in the visitor in similar ways she kept his crippling sanity... but the difference between the visitor and seductive woman, is that he's going to use all his fears and trauma to break him down the protagonist's walls, piece by piece, until he's a raw and vulnerable mess on the bed.
