“We’re childhood sweethearts.”
“No we’re not,” Bradley snorts, slipping his fingers under Jake’s belt and pulling him in between his legs. “I don’t think that us fighting for the first sixteen year of knowing each other counts as being sweethearts.”
“Not this dumb argument again Bradshaw,” Jake complains, rolling his eyes, but happily settles in Bradley’s hold.
“You threw a block at my head an hour after we met!”
“I was two years old, excuse me for not using my words!”
“We didn’t get together until I was in my twenties! I wasn’t a child, so we are not childhood sweethearts!”
Or Bradley and Jake have known each other since they were toddlers, yet take quite the detour before falling completely in love with each other.

“You know,” Valentino says, eyeing Alastor with unveiled interest from the couch. Alastor feels deep nostalgia for the days when Valentino was prone to cringe away from him like a girl spotting a spider she was scared to kill. “It’s all hot-swappable.”
It’s almost guaranteed that Alastor doesn’t want to know what that means. But only almost, and curiosity nags.
“Pardon?”
“His dick,” Valentino says casually, and through great personal restraint Alastor does not press his hands into his temples. “He’d probably be into it if you wanted to keep it in your purse.”
