Jack Sato has never been one to pursue social relationships with anyone in the first place, any friends he had were mostly people who approached him first; and so he obviously assumed that during his senior year of high school, the same rule would apply to romantic relationships.
Yet there he was, standing flushed in the sunlight and glaring through crowds to see a glimpse of the only person that made school interesting; Elijah Songaa, who would stretch himself out of bed and rush out with bed hair all the time just to run over to Jack and tell him the usual,
"Good morning!"
The way his heart fluttered and beat, it could not be mistaken for anything less than love. In denial even as Valentines day approaches the horizon, Jack can no longer deny his feelings for Elijah preparing to burst from his chest, and writes him a letter with the intention to give it to him. And so, he runs towards the sunset, towards the man of his dreams and begs the sun with his glare as if it can hear him,
"Hold on a sec before you set!"
His heart beats against his chest as the horizons dip into a beautiful, golden color.

Ness put down his phone and looked around his apartment. Their apartment, actually; officially, the lease was in his name, but Kaiser and Isagi had gravitated towards it over the years. Old battlefields were scattered all across it—the tasteful Japanese flower arrangements Isagi had set up next to Kaiser’s extravagant, giant Ming-era vase; velvet curtains clashing with delicate light blue blinds, and of course, in pride of place, a jumble of trophies and medals and Man Of The Match awards. It was almost impossible to understand who owned which.
