Summary
Leon S. Kennedy couldn’t tell you how he kept finding himself in these kinds of situations. One day he was just a rookie cop, late as hell on his first day on the job; the next, he was a seasoned agent for the U.S. government facing every imaginable breed of fuckery. He’s spent his adult life fighting fleshy, mutated nightmares with eyes in all the wrong places because some prick in a lab decided to play God with viruses. He’s had to put down swarms of innocent civilians turned into walking corpses because psychopaths in expensive suits unleashed a virus—or two, or three. He’s stared death in the face more times than he cares to count, lied to, manipulated, beaten, and tortured until he was barely holding together.
Needless to say, Leon Kennedy has seen some shit.
And yet, none of that terrifying nightmare fuel made him anywhere near as vulnerable—or as wildly undone—as the current situation he found himself in.

-Meriam Webster Dictionary
July 2013. You're a third-year surgical resident, a single mom, and very good at keeping people alive. Then a patient dies in front of you with one word on her lips, and now you can't stop seeing her face.
A stranger in a dive bar tells you that you don't forget faces. He's right. But patients on your service keep getting transferred to "long-term care" without anyone consulting you, and some of them come back changed. The more you look, the more you realize that whatever is spreading inside these patients is also spreading inside the hospital.

Summary
Four seasons, four reunions, four chances to make it work.
There are a few ineluctable truths to be ascertained from the nature of Claire and Leon’s relationship.
The first—even a pair of grown adults can be woefully prone to miscommunication.
The second—no matter how many times fate herself pushes people together, they remain stubbornly blinded to their own connection until they themselves are ready to take control.
The third (perhaps the most important of the bunch)—no two people on the planet understand each other better than Claire and Leon do.Bookmarked by RedWingedAngel

Summary
One night, a clean gunshot in a Manhattan alleyway erases your entire existence. Four days of relentless federal interrogation later, you are no longer a twenty-one-year-old logistics clerk with a life, a family, and a future. You are a dead woman on paper—a sealed file, an official highway crash report, and a loose end the government can't afford to leave untied.
Rebranded as a ghost and hidden away in a snow-choked safehouse, you're assigned a detail to keep you breathing: Leon S. Kennedy.
No comfort. No softness. Just two damaged people trapped in a house full of secrets, holding the line until something breaks.

Summary
Rebuilding your life with a new job after a traitorous breakup, you never imagined you'd be an employee of the federal government. Working as a tactical paramedic for the Division of Security Operations (DSO), life was looking up in your new found independence.
What you weren't prepared for was the blue-eyed, weathered, and sneakily charming agent making your job, and life, complicated. Overcoming your conflicted feelings, trust issues, and burning desires for the slightly older man, you and Agent Kennedy find that the relationship between you might be something more than just for fun and comfort. It may be essential for a thriving existence.
